Father Riskin

Although this is an old topic, I still firmly believe that it is an important one. For your convenience, I have provided a visual aid which you can find to the right. As some of you may know, Shlomo Riskin, who henceforth on my blog will be known as Father Riskin (or Our Holy Father), decided, in his infinite wisdom that Jesus is a rabbi and deserves to be called as such. This is after various leading Talmudic figures have described the evil that Jesus had imposed. Our Holy Father, feeling that these Talmudic scholars' education and qualifications simply couldn't compete with his YU smicha, decided to make a video to show how much he can suck up to the gouyim. It was actually quite sad to watch his 5 chins wiggle around as he bragged about how learned he is on Christian texts. Maybe if he had spent his time studying Gemara instead of the Gospels, he wouldn't have made such an interesting video. He seems to have forgotten how the Jews ratted out "rabbi" Jesus to Romans and had him killed, and about how Jesus is in hell burning in a pot of feces (according to the Gemara), but why are the minor details so important anyways?

The full video follows below:

After he received major backlash from this incident, and the Orthodox Union withdrew support for his activities (the fact that they supported his activities for so long should tell you a bit about that organization, as this video was no surprise to anyone who knew Stevie), he released an apology video. If someone said "heil hitler" and then later apologized for it, that individual would be analogizing in order to avoid trouble, not because he felt that what he said was wrong. The same applies here. Father Riskin still believes what he said and was simply interested in damage control. Whenever I go to the city of Efrat, I can't help but laugh whenever I hear someone say "Rav Riskin" with a perfectly straight face (yes, they still call him that there).

Whenever you read about Stevie, it is customary to make the following blessing: ברוך אתה, הרב ריסקין, מלך העולם, מתיר אסורים.
