Everyone loves Ben Shapiro. Well, almost everyone, because I certainly don't. Most people in the world today don't critically think about the things they hear, and when pressed on the content are not able to recall any of it. This is the case for the listeners of Ben Shapiro, the king loser. Most conservatives, especially on the younger side of things, receive their daily programming from Ben's dumb podcast which poorly analyzes all of the current events occurring. For someone whose brand is centered around "facts" and "logic," you'd really think he could arrive at better conclusions than he has for the past 15 years.
Ben was a prodigy from his youth, writing correct articles such as Transfer is Not a Dirty Word and other content that was run through a solid filter of facts and logic, usually attacking the orthodoxy, leaving the other side with nothing more than "Yeah, you're right, but it isn't nice." How have the mighty fallen! Fast forward to present day, and you'll find this low-testosterone manlet spouting orthodox norms and convincing those on the right to accept every nonsensical premise the left has attempted to astroturf for decades. In fact, if you are actually a conservative, you will find that there is not a single issue that Ben spouts that you actually agree with him on. How weak and pathetic do you have to be to respond to a threat by a man in a dress to send you home in an ambulance with, "That seems mildly inappropriate for a political discussion."

Ben frames himself as a conservative, but in reality he is a very strong liberal. Every view he holds is a liberal view. Domestically he supports corporate welfare, "legal immigration," energy subsidies, bailouts, H1B visas, the Fed and every other stupid liberal orthodoxy that has been pushed for the past 40 years. His economic worldview is indistinguishable from the Wall Street Journal editorial page circa 2003. Foreign policy wise, he supports every forever war he can find, regime change from bad to worse, giving Arabs half of Israel, imposing our morality on other countries, and every neocon talking point since Bush 1 graced us with his presence. He is Bush-era neoconservatism with a squeakier voice and a kippah for branding.
He is even worse on culture. On gay marriage he folded. On feminism he brags about having a wife who is a doctor like that is a conservative flex. On trans ideology he argues about pronouns but accepts the broader framework and calls Obergefell settled law. He claims “facts don’t care about your feelings” while crying on air when Trump failed to deliver his wars, storming out of interviews when confronted, and melting down when boycotts hit his advertisers. Facts don’t care about your feelings, but apparently Ben’s feelings care about everything. And let’s not skip the soy angle. Ben thinks eating meat is immoral, and he has dressed it up as principle. No wonder he folds like paper when confronted by trannies; he is literally powered by soy milk.
And his audience eats it up, you can see it in every corner. NPC frat bros sitting in dorm rooms quoting him between Fortnite rounds. YU undergrads in yarmulkes parroting his lines at Shabbos tables as if they just invented the thought themselves. Evangelical boomers clapping like seals at the church luncheon because Ben told them in a fast voice that the venture-socialism system of the United States is in fact Biblical. His fanbase isn’t thinking, they are consuming pre-chewed talking points like baby birds getting fed regurgitated worms.
While many conservatives (not me, obviously) may be able to pick out an issue where they are more liberal, usually that is the exception for them, not the rule. When all your views align with modern liberal orthodoxy rather than what the Republican Party believed 50 years ago, you are no longer a conservative, you are a liberal. The only reason you still call yourself a conservative is to serve as controlled opposition for the Globohomo. The man has never seen a leftist victory he didn’t immediately label “settled law.” He is not conserving, he is baptizing liberalism and selling it back to you at podcast speed.
Every person who considers themselves to be right-wing needs to do some serious soul-searching and ask if they actually agree with Ben Shapiro or if they are being hypnotized by his fast-talking circus act. He does not persuade with truth. He overwhelms you with words per minute until you miss the sleight of hand. He makes you accept the latest GAE theological premise that Nikki Haley’s handlers slipped under the door that morning. The “Daily Wire” is not a conservative institution, it is a daycare center for the right, with Ben playing the part of the scrawny babysitter making sure you never step outside the liberal Overton window.
Objectively Ben is an intelligent guy, perhaps even rivaling my intellect. If this is the case, how does he get every big issue so wrong, consistently when I get them right? Using facts and logic, I can deduce that either he is a sniveling idiot or he is intentionally misleading us on every important issue from Covid to US immigration policy. Since it is extremely unlikely that he is an idiot, the more likely outcome is that he is taking his talking points from Con Inc. and funneling the programming of the day into the ears of millions of young impressionable conservatives. He is the flagship of an entire fake conservative media operation that includes Michael Knowles, Guy Benson, Jay Nordlinger, Brad Polumbo, David French, Jordan Peterson, Andrew Klavan, neutered for a paycheck, and every other sellout who cashed in on their backbone.
Stop listening to Ben. He is only there to pull the wool over your eyes and make your brain mush. He is not the Right’s sharpest mind, he is its castrated chaperone. You are not listening to a warrior you are listening to the hall monitor waving his permission slip in your face while the school burns down behind him. You are listening to the nerd hired to babysit you while Rome burns. Start listening to actual conservatives, else you are better off sticking to The View.
